lear yes. we will just eventually see that snow pick up i would say as soon as we hit lunchtime and beyond, that is when he all bets are off and that system will make its arrival. we are definitely okay for now but as we start off here we will zero on storm scan at the local level, making its sweep and not picking up on anything yet. we can throw satellite coverage on top and we have a nice, clear sky. it is like that proverbial calm before the storm here and this is just a clipper even though we have an eye on very poor timing with it, it the is, in the necessarily going to be bringing us anything more than modest snowfall totals but you can see leading edge of the moisture moving right now into portions of the appalachian range and just matter of hours before it hits us. as soon as we hit late morning we will see winter weather advisory taking effect here you may see them begin as early as 10:00 a.m. but just know you will get through typical morning rush without any hint of winter weather yet.

real serious injuries as a result of the three car accident. most serious of the injuries was to that police officers driving that car right there. he got a cut to the head and probably a concussion and taken to temple university hospital in stable condition. everybody else involved in this accident as well is in stable condition this morning and really surprising if you take a look at debris on the roads and all of the damage to these three cars the impact was really strong this was a three car accident involving a police car and two other cars. crash happened here at 25th and lehigh around 3:00 this morning. the police officers were transporting a 24 year-old gunshot victim to temple hospital at the time of the accident this were coming from the 2400 block of north hollywood street and they had their lights and siren on. victim had had three shots to his leg. the as police were traveling east on lehigh avenue help got in an accident with the lexus traveling north on 25th and then those two cars crashed into a third vehicle a camaro

traveling west on lehigh. have one was taken to temple in stable condition. the drivers of the other two cars had bumps and bruises. now, no word on how fast anyone was driving but we are learning more about the drivers of those two other vehicles lets take a listen. >> whenever we're rushing someone to the hospital we activate our lights, we activate our sirens we try to drive there as quickly and safely as possible, interesting to know that bet of the civilian vehicles were operated by non-licensed drivers, so that is something we have to look into. >> reporter: accident reconstruction will be out here to determine exactly what happened but again surprisingly no serious injuries in this three car crash, shooting victim is expected to recover as well, you can see here on the scene at lehigh avenue this street is still closed down a lot of debris in the road these three crushed cars still in the roadway as well. that accident reconstruction team will have to come out here to do investigation and also charges and citations are

still pending, again, against those two other drivers of the civilian vehicles. we are told they are non-licensed drivers and police will be as you heard looking more into that. we will continue to update you on this story but for now we are live in north philadelphia jan carabao cbs-3 "eyewitness news". police are investigating a fatal crash in the holmesberg neighborhood. investigators tell thus suv was speeding when it crash in the concrete stairwell on the 7300 block of millare in street and it happened around 1:30. one passenger was killed and another suffered a broken leg and arm. the driver was charged with driving under the influence. happening today jury deliberations resume in the fraud trial of the former tv sportscaster don tollefson. the jury deliberated late into the night after getting the case late yesterday. prosecutors say that tollefson used his winning ways charity to cheat people out of more than $300,000 selling them bogus sports and travel

packages. tollefson acted as his own attorney during the trial. the new jersey mother accused of murdering his new born baby did in the have much to say during her first court appearance. police say hyphernkemberly dorvilier set that babe on fire shortly after giving birth on the side of the road. vigil will be held it in to honor that little girl at browns mills united methodist church tonight at 7:30. developing right now nine people are rush to the hospital after a terror attack on a bus in tel aviv israel. police say a palestinian man stabbed several passengers and the driver before he was chased down shot and arrested. four of the stabbing victims were seriously hurt. hamas did not claim responsibility for the attack but they did praise it. just in from france prosecutors charged four men in connection with this month's terror attacks around paris. prosecutors say the the men helped one of the suspect who killed the police officer before murdering four hostages

time for traffic and weather to go, katie good morning. >> we expect to see our next round of snow as early in the afternoon. would i say just after lunchtime you may start to see first flakes flying through the western most suburbs but leading edge of the precipitation is already visible in the southwestern corner of pennsylvania it is just a matter of time.

generally this is a snow event but this is a clipper with a few odd ball characteristics to it. it starts off with some chilly rain near the coast that is why we have a pink sliver of a little mixing that will take place before it turns over to snow and that little bit of the bulls eye up to 4 inches through south central new jersey and delaware. the system is going to be intensifying oddly enough as it rolls on through. meanwhile general within to 3 inches for everyone else coming with terrible timing. we can handle one to 3 inches but we cannot handle it at the height of the evening rush. that is when it is expect to be at its worse but out of here late tonight and would i say we are right back to normal by this time tomorrow for sure, vittoria. >> good morning everyone. we really have been hit hard with unfortunate accidents these past couple days and we have an unfortunate accident we need to talk about in northeast philadelphia tacony hall alsoberg section. traveling at millare in and cottman avenue you will notice

near by. in the here on storm scan three at the local level, tri-state sweep not picking up on anything but gun clutter at this hour but just zoom it out one time and most of west virginia at this point is engulfed in some of that moisture. it is modest moisture it is a clipper system after all but timing is way less than ideal, so lets walk you through more of what this system has up its sleeve for our area. we will go out to the winter weather advisory posted. they are not up just yet they take effect at ten or 11:00 a.m. and depend on what time they will take effect but it is philadelphia including montgomery and lower bucks counties now, those were counties not included until just about an hour and a half ago so now it is updating the coverage zone there but generally it looks like southern tear of the region will be hit hardest with this clipper and with the timing coming it will be coming in the early afternoon and toward evening rush. that is bad timing, obviously.
